Used at a short distance to magnify microscopic areas of the skin and scalp. Used in trichology to have a complete overview of the scalp.
It allows to assess the thinning, extension of microscopic lesions, the outcome of transplant, recording and monitoring in time.

Designed to enlarge the cutis showing its microscopic features with a discrete degrees of enlarging. Used to observe skin texture: streaks (young skin), longitudinal stretch marks (aging skin). It also allows to highlight imperfections and black heads that give a discontinuous look to the skin; shiny areas, a symptom of sebum hypersecretion; dry areas that give the skin a pale wrinkled appearance and even flaking. It is also used to assess skin discoloring (skin spots) and the success of any bleaching treatments.
Thanks to the extended depth of field and integrated illumination it is possible to observe anomalies in the capillary network, highlighting fragility (couperose).
20X WD optics
This special Wood optic allows you to see skin details normally not visible. The Wood light integrated into the optic and the magnifying power allow to see clearly discolorations (skin spots) and to determine if the discoloring is epidermis (superficial) or dermis (deep). The device is equipped with a diagnostic value because some surface mycosis (skin fungi) emit a yellow-green fluorescence when subjected to Wood light.
The optic also reveals the presence of vitiligo with a white florescence on the skin. Finally, even live nits (live eggs) are sensitive to this wave length, emitting a yellow fluorescence.
White light optic with medium magnifying power used to analyze small areas of the skin and scalp. It gives the possibility to identify different skin types: dry, with wrinkled and flaky appearance; mixed where dry areas are interposed to shiny and impure areas and finally oily where dilated pores and greasy appearance are widespread.
This optic allows to verify and magnify the presence of imperfections such as: dilated capillaries below sensitive skin, dilated pores with sebum excess inside, inflamed black heads, reddish and inflamed areas all over the body.
It is used in trichology to assess some areas of the scalp to evaluate the presence of sebum, dandruff and miniaturized hair (symptom of alteration of the different degrees of the hair cycle).
50X fluorescence optics
Designed to assess live, the sebum conditions produced by the sebaceous glands. The sebum contained in the dilated pores becomes fluorescent and appears with a different color intensity whether it is oxidized (old sebum) or little oxidized (recent sebum). In addition, It highlights a non-correct cleansing, particularly asphyxiated skin and metabolic imbalance.
Thanks to this device it is possible to identify areas lacking skin lipids (dry skin) distinguishing them from dehydrated areas.
Designed for trichology at high magnification. Used in contact with the scalp allowing to observe the biotype of the scalp live as well as any alterations present in the hair follicles or hair shaft. Thanks to the high magnifying power and the extended depth of field, the optics magnifies the follicular hosts (the area in which the follicle communicates externally) making it easy to see sebum excess (greasy or waxy) miniaturized hair (symptom of alteration of various degrees of alopecia).
It magnifies the skin close to the follicles and the dandruff flakes (dry or oily) showing the sensitive or inflamed areas.
On the hair shaft it is easy to identify damaged hair due to thermic or chemical treatments, sebum on the hair shaft and the damages on split ends.
Specific for trichology at very high magnification. It is used in contact to magnify the bulb and the hair. It can be used as a microscope by inserting the hair in the special plastic support called Tricoplast.
Thanks to its high magnifying power it is possible to see the follicular ostium.
On the hair shaft, the keratine demages and the hair structure.
This method makes it possible to examine and characterize the bulb in its various vital phases. (anagen, catagen, telogen) and if there is some type of miniaturization.
This examination is very useful to determine the most frequent causes of hair loss to discriminate the alopecia.
This sensor detects the sebum present on the skin distinguishing it from other liquids that make up the hydro-lepidic film.
In just a few seconds it can visualize the special distribution of the sebum and its quantity. The special distribution allows to understand the morphology of the sebaceous gland.
Measurement of the quantity, represented on a qualitative value scale, supplies a clear indication on the performance.
The device is suitable to know in depth the sebaceous gland’s activity, observe the state, whether it is hyper or hypersecretion and the spatial distribution.
Thanks to the assessment of these parameters, it is possible to establish a proper treatment and maintenance.
By using it regularly functional alterations may be prevented.
Cutaneous profilometry (Wrinkles)
Thanks to this sensor it is possible to evaluate the cutaneous profilometry, ie. the depth of the wrinkles of the subject based on age. The device displays in real time the skin’s depressions in the framed area, it recognizes the deepest wrinkles and reports it on a graduated scale. The scale is expressed in three colors: if the wrinkle is physiological (ie. if there is a correspondence between biological age and actual age), medium (wrinkle moderately deep) or severe (very deep wrinkle compared to the age of the patient). With this sensor, any line of the face and décolleté is analyzed, estimating the general trend: a fundamental requirement useful to advice prevention and maintenance treatments or recovery and redensification.
This measuring device allows the customer’s phototype to be established based on the Fitzpatrick classification scale. It enlarges a portion of skin to allow the operator to identify the best position to perform the measurement. The measurement takes place with a simple click evaluating the average color of three distinct targets, automatically chosen to avoid portions of skin with the presence of discoloring.
The detected phototype is displayed together with the sun protection factor (SPF – Sun Protection Factor), distinguishing between face and body.
The sensor provides the correct protection index best suited for the type of skin detected, a basic requirement for preserving skin from sun damage.
The sensor allows to determine the degree of hydration of the skin. The measurement refers to the water content of the corneum layer of the skin and is expressed as a percentage. At each measurement performed, the system provides both the percentage of the last detected hydration (spot) and the average hydration of the area examined.
Hydration is an important parameter and index of the state of health and well-being.
In fact, good hydration improves cell turnover and protects the skin from redness and aging.
This sensor allows to determine the elasticity of the skin with precision. The measure, based on the principle of suction, is represented by a graph and a series of numerical parameters.
The graph represents the extension and subsequent retraction of the skin to the basal state, allowing the system to automatically detect the degree of elasticity.
The measure is expressed as a percentage and can becarried out in all areas, above all those of greater laxity, such as the mandibular line of the face or the inside of the arms.
The measurement of elasticity is essential for
detecting early skin aging and for defining treatment protocols for elasticity.
This operation allows to determine the average hair density (expressed in number of hairs per square centimeter) of a specific area. The sensor highlights a target in which visible hair can easily be placed.
Once the count is inserted, the system obtains the correct density measurement in hair per cm2.
The numerical relationship is accompanied by a qualitative scale which identifies the density under consideration as normal, low or very low. The measurement of hair density, carried out on a regular basis, allows the early identification of possible risk areas, the severity degree and the speed of thinning progression.
This device allows to measure the average diameter of a hair in microns and to establish if it is fine, medium or thick.
The sensor is equipped with a clamp that holds the hair allowing the analysis and the measurement with a simple click.
By sliding the hair into the clamp it is possible to detect any brittle areas, spit ends or open keratin flakes.
